Christopher Eubanks

Former college tennis student-athlete, Christopher Eubanks, had an amazing run at this year’s Wimbledon edition. During his Wimbledon debut at the 2023 tournament, he had wins over 12th seed, Cameron Norrie (former college tennis player at TCU) and 5th seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, his first top 10 and also top 5 win. His impressive Wimbledon run ended against Daniil Medvedev in his first-ever Major quarterfinal. Fun fact: Medvedev played another college tennis player, Arthur Fery (current junior at Stanford University) in the first round.

In total, 23 players with college tennis ties will be playing at Wimbledon in the singles draw (18 men singles and 5 women). This marks the highest total out of any Grand Slam in 2023, and it matches the total amount of collegians seen at the 2022 US Open.

Christopher Eubanks played three seasons of college tennis for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. At GA Tech he was a two-time All-American and named ACC Player of the Year twice. After his junior year, he announced he would be turning professional and would not return for his senior season.
