Congrats to our GK, Hanne Breur, who earned a well-deserved college soccer transfer to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas!
We mention to most of our student-athletes that they should not get too hung up on what division they will play in. Sometimes it is better to take a different path in order to reach your ultimate goal. Hanne’s college soccer transfer is a perfect example of this. She was noticed by several NCAA Division 1 programs because of her outstanding season at Northwest University in the NAIA.
At Northwest, Hanne notched a program-record 13 shutouts to rank second among all NAIA programs. She also is inside the top 5 for save percentage (.902) and goals against average (0.42). Hanne earned First Team All-Cascade Collegiate Conference honors after helping lead Northwest to most wins (17) in school history and a league title.

The University of Nevada at Las Vegas is located in one of the fastest growing, most exciting areas of the country, in the beautiful Southwest desert. They are ranked in the top ten in U.S. News & World Report’s annual listing of the nation’s most diverse undergraduate universities for the past decade.
The UNLV rebels compete in the Mountain West Conference and play their home games on campus at the Peter F. Johann Memorial Soccer Field, which seats 2,500 people. The goal for next season is to qualify for the conference tournament after missing it the last few years.
